Few weeks back, at WWDC ’14 apple introduced their latest desktop operating system OS X 10.10 or Yosemite! I would say it looks kinda pretty – then again, it’s only me. If you’re interested in the Yosemite -ish design or you just simply looking for a change, check this out!
After you’re done with everything, it should look something like this!
Install Yellowstone (Interface and Window Decoration theme)
1. Download the theme files from the artist’s pages
2. Extract the file

3. Copy the yellowstone folder to .themes folder in the home directory (if you do not have a .themes folder, create one)
Copy the files to .themes folder in home directory
Install Faba-Ceru (Icon theme)
To install “Fabe-Ceru” open the Terminal [CTRL]-[ALT]-[T] and paste the following then hit enter
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:moka/stable
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install faba-icon-theme faba-colors faba-mono-icons
Changing the theme
To apply the themes, you would be required to use a software called elementary tweaks. If you don’t have it installed, you cant get it here
To install “elementary tweaks” open the Terminal [CTRL]-[ALT]-[T] and paste the following then hit enter
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:versable/elementary-update
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install elementary-tweaks
1. Go to System Settings > click on Tweaks.
2. Click on Window Decoration Theme > select yellowstone.
3. Click on Interface Theme > select yellowstone.
4. Click on Icon theme > select Faba-Ceru.
5. Now click on Button Layout > and select OS X.
6. Click on Plank in Tweaks sidebar
7. Click on Theme and select Transparent
