An experimental multicore fork of Python 3. This is proof-of-concept fork of Python 3.3.5 designed to optimally exploit contemporary hardware: multiple CPU cores, fast SSDs, NUMA architectures, and fast I/O channels (10GbE, Thunderbolt, etc). The idea is to remove the limitations of the GIL without actually removing the GIL. This is definitely worth keeping an eye on.
