如何查看AX的版本

刚接触AX的时候打开AX的帮助看到AX有Build Version和Kernal Version,有的时候还发现两个版本不一样。当时还不太清楚他们之间的差异。有一次打Kernal Hotfix之后用AX客户端打开发现竟然Kernal Version没有改变，但是有些客户端能够反映最新的版本。最后发现是AX Client客户端没有更新，导致服务器版本更新，用旧的可客户端打开仍然显示旧的版本（显示的是客户端的Kernal版本）。所以这个时候其实直接从文件属性查看版本是最准确的。（当然Kerla Hotfix是需要所有的组件保持在一个版本）。

With any Ax2012 environment, it is important to make sure that when you apply a hotfix to that environment that the hotfix is applied to all AX2012 components in that environment. This can be quite the undertaking, depending on how spread out your environment is. This is why it is a good idea to periodically review the version numbers on all AX2102 components you have install in your environment, and make sure they are all up to date. Such components could be the AOS, AX Client, Business Connector, as well as any additional components you might have installed. During this process you will also want to check and make sure that any KB hotfixes you might have installed are applied to all of the Ax2012 components you have installed in your environment.

How to check the following components:

1. AOS version
2. AX Client version
3. Business Connector version

Check AOS Version

An easy way to check the current version of your AOS is to do the following:

Navigate to the following file path and locate the Ax32Serv.exe file

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics AX\60\Server\{your AX instance name}\bin

Right click on the Ax32Serv.exe file and select properties

Select the details tab and check the “File version”.

AX Client Version

The AX2012 Client’s version can be checked in the same way. Just use the file patch below, and look for the Ax32.exe file.

C:\Program Files (86x)\Microsoft Dynamics AX\60\Server\Bin

Business Connector Version

Similarly the Business Connector can be checked using the file path below. Just look for the AxCilCfg.exe.

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics AX\60\Business Connector\Bin

As you will see, these file version should match up to what you see inside Ax2012. To check your application and kernel version from within AX2012, follow these steps:

·         Open the AX2012 client

• In the top right of the client window, you should see a “?” in a blue circle. Click on it.

In the dropdown select “About Microsoft Dynamics AX” link.

In the form that opens you will see the Application and Kernel version numbers listed.
