泰戈尔《飞鸟集》重译第1-10首

我翻译泰戈尔《飞鸟集》的缘起和翻译的原则，下文有简略的说明，不再赘述，这里只发布英文及译文，部分诗句附有简要的译者按语。

Stray birds of summer come to my window to sing and fly away.
And yellow leaves of autumn, which have no songs, flutter and fall there with a sigh.

夏日，悠闲的鸟儿来到我的窗前，唱着歌，又飞走了。
而秋天的黄叶无歌可唱，一声叹息，飘落在那里。

译者按：几经斟酌，Stray birds没有译为飞鸟或者离群的鸟儿，而是译作悠闲的鸟儿。具体的理由，我在翻译手记里作了解释，可参看：

O Troupe of little vagrants of the world, leave your footprints in my words.

啊，那一小队浪迹天涯的卖艺人，请把你们的足迹，留在我的诗文。

译者按：Troupe，流动的戏班子，小时候在农村还见过，表演杂技和魔术。

The world puts off its mask of vastness to its lover.
It becomes small as one song, as one kiss of the eternal.

世界对爱人揭下浩茫的面纱，变得微小，如一曲轻歌，如永恒之吻。

It is the tears of the earth that keep her smiles in bloom.

大地的泪水，滋养着她的笑颜永绽。

译者按：梁遇春有本散文集叫《泪与笑》，内有同名的文章，可以一阅。

The mighty desert is burning for the love of a blade of grass who shakes her head and laughs and flies away.

大漠如火，热恋芳草，芳草摇头，一笑而去。

If you shed tears when you miss the sun, you also miss the stars.

你若因错失太阳而垂泪，将会错过星空。

The sands in your way beg for your song and your movement, dancing water.
Will you carry the burden of their lameness?

欢舞的流水，你途中的泥沙，祈求你的歌唱，你的律动。
你愿背负这累赘同行吗？

译者按：看到这首诗，就会想起一个画面：母亲背着孩子，步履维艰，而孩子全然不觉，还央求母亲唱儿歌，走快一点。

Her wishful face haunts my dreams like the rain at night.

她热切的容颜，如夜雨萦绕我的梦魂。

Once we dreamt that we weres trangers.
We wake up to find that we were dear to each other.

梦中各分散，醒时同交欢。

译者按：译文化用自李白《月下独酌》：醒时同交欢，醉后各分散。我知道这样译与原文意思略有偏差，但实在是太喜欢这两句，就始终没有改。直译是这样的：曾经梦见我们形同陌路，醒来才发现，我们彼此相依。

Sorrow is hushed into peace in my heart like the evening among the silent trees.

忧伤平复于我心，如夜幕消融于幽林。

译者按：与第8首有异曲同工之秒，化抽象的心理活动为具体的自然现象。
