以下是逐句解析：
第一句：日光晒到哪里，就把椅凳移到哪里。
译文：Where there was sunshine, there we would move our chairs.
1、句式与表达
参考译文用了where……there这个词组来表达，哪里有……哪里就……大家可以看一下，这句话的参考译文特别简洁，没有去刻意翻译“晒”这个动词，而是巧用there be 句型来表达“有阳光时”。
2、单词使用与译法
“椅凳”，chair or stool，原文中，“椅凳”实际上出现了两次。为了避免琐碎累赘，一般会略译一处，参考译文就是在第一句进行了略译。
第二句：忽然寒风来了，只好逃难似地各自带了椅凳逃入室中，急急把门关上。
译文：When the cold wind came, however, we would scamper indoors like refugees, each carrying a chair or stool and hastily closing the doors behind us.
1、单词使用
“寒风”，可以用cold，chilly，piercing，biting，sharp等等词语，来表达“寒风凛冽”
“scamper”，其意思是When people or small animals scamper somewhere, they move there quickly with small, light steps. 奔跑; 疾走，以及 run quickly and often playfully as children and some small animals do （儿童及某些小动物）奔跑, 蹦蹦跳跳。
夏天主编：这个词用在这里非常贴切，可以表现出寒风一来，人们快步走进屋子的模样。相比escape所表达的含义更加生动。
2、句式与表达
like在这句话中做介词，接refugee。
“各自”的处理，其实这里无需使用respectively这样的副词，使用“each”这个代词，就可以表达“每个人“在做”什么。
参考译文中的carrying和closing是ing分词起修饰作用。
夏天主编：注意一下hastily，这个词的意思和quickly相同，但hastily用作书面语，如果考试时想不起来hastily，用quickly或者hurrily 也是正确的。
第三句：在平常的日子，风来大概在下午快要傍晚的时候，半夜即息。
译文：The wind usually began to howl towards evening and lasted until midnight.
单词使用
译文用了towards这个精准的介词，这个词语的意思是向，接近，比如towards noon，就是接近正午的意思。
夏天主编：可以说张培基先生在翻译“在下午快要傍晚的时候”时，发挥了译者的再创作，让文本十分优美。
并且 towards evening (向晚）是一种很有诗意的表达，
比如大家耳熟能详的《乐游原》 向晚意不适，驱车登古原。 夕阳无限好，只是近黄昏。
再比如张籍的《江南春》“江南杨柳春，日暖地无尘。渡口过新雨，夜来生白蘋。晴沙鸣乳燕，芳树醉游人。向晚青山下，谁家祭水神。”
而towards一词，在外国诗歌也是比较常见，比如《新月集》英文版中， The fairy mistress of dreams is coming towards you, flying through the twilight sky.
再比如，著名诗人叶芝（William Butler Yeats）写过这样优美的诗句，
“I dreamed towards break of day,
The cold blown spray in my nostril.
But she that beside me lay
Had watched in bitterer sleep
The marvellous stag of Arthur,
That lofty white stag, leap
From mountain steep to steep. ”
夏天主编：常见错误 Do not say ‘in the midnight’. If you mean ‘at 12 o’clock at night’ say at midnight and if you mean ‘very late at night’ say in the middle of the night.
不要说in the midnight。“在夜里12点”要说at midnight，“深更半夜”要说in the middle of the night。

夏天主编：做的很好！很简洁准确。但是in the usual一般不这样用，用usually放句首或者按照参考译文那样使用都可以。
