一. 感想

关于“商务写作”(亦或是工作中用到的各类写作),其核心依然是“写作”本身。因此,依旧“想清楚才能写清楚”。我们既要写得清晰、明了、简洁,又要兼顾温暖感并写出自己风格。

在实际工作中,我常常需要写作。尤其是今年,写作量剧增。其中包括日常沟通的中、英文邮件,专业论文,以及产品和案例的推广文案。

我最深刻的体会来自于两方面:一是邮件类,尤其是与老外沟通技术问题的邮件,一定要写得直接、明了。无需太多铺垫,让对方一目了然的看清楚你的问题,是他能够给你提供有效帮助的关键。

写到这里,我忽然想到了一个极好的例子,来自"84, Charing Cross Road"(《查令十字街84号》)的第一封信,这里“开门见山、内容清晰、逻辑顺畅、前后呼应、生动幽默”等特点都具备了,供大家欣赏:

Gentlemen:

Your ad in the Saturday Review of Literature says that you specialize in out-of-print books. The phrase “antiquarian booksellers” scares me somewhat, as I equate “antique” with expensive. I am a poor writer with an antiquarian taste in books and all the things I want are impossible to get over here except in very expensive rare editions, or in Barnes & Noble’s grimy, marked-up schoolboy copies.

I enclose a list of my most pressing problems. If you have clean second hand copies of any of the books on the list, for no more than $5.00 each,will you consider this a purchase order and send them to me?

二是宣传类文案类,这其中又根据载体的不同而有所区别。例如发表在专业杂志上的文章与微信公众号推送的文章风格就应该有所不同。专业杂志上的文章需要严谨、正统、逻辑性强;而微信公众号上的文章,需要专业性和趣味性相结合,如何把文章写得吸引人,就显得尤为重要了。

此外,在现今的自媒体时代,“宣传推广”也有了更多的可能性。无论是朋友圈还是微博,小视频还是图片,都是我们可以加以利用的工具。只要给人留下了深刻的良好印象,目的就达到了。


二. 字词

1. ponderous

(1) 原文:It tells us instantly that a ponderous mind is at work.

(2) 字典解释:boring, very serious, and seeming to progress very slowly

(3) 造句:This is really a ponderous and difficult book.

2. curriculum

(1) 原文:On the appointed morning in Greenwich I found 40 principals and curriculum coordinators assembled and eager to learn.

(2) 解释:课程

(3) 造句:When I was in high school, I didn't like the curriculum of arts at all.

3. squander

(1) 原文:He is squandering a rich resource: himself.

(2) 字典解释:to carelessly waste money, time, opportunities etc

(3) 造句:She had squandered her chances to study.

4. pedantic

(1) 原文:The other is pedantic and vague.

(2) 字典解释:学究气的

(3) 造句:His article is so pedantic.

5. accessible

(1) 原文:Almost any subject can be made accessible in good English.

(2) 解释:可以理解的

(3) 造句:He can make a difficult subject accessible to the reader.
