Biology（生物学） is the study of life, including its structure（结构） and evolution（进化）.

Biologists（生物学家） study how life survives（幸存、生存） and reproduces（繁殖、生殖）.

Chemistry（化学） is the study of matter, including the structure of atoms（原子） and molecules（分子）.

Chemists（化学家） study how various（各种） substances（物质） interact（互相影响） with each other.

Astronomy（天文学） is one of the oldest sciences.

Astronomers（天文学家） study the structure and evolution of the universe（宇宙）, including the study of stars, planets and galaxies（星系）.

Geology（地质学） is the study of the structure and history of the earth and other planets.

Geologists（地质学家） study different types of rocks（岩石）, earthquakes and different layers（层次） of the earth.

Mathematics（数学） is the study of numbers, shapes, patterns（模式、方式） and change.

Mathematics is used by all other branches（分支） of science.
