记一次vite2.x打包优化过程

背景

最近做的需求是在客户端webview内嵌h5,使用的 vite2.xvue3 来开发,在第一版提测的时候,发现打包之后,总包大小有 4M 多,有很大的优化的空间。

工具链说明

  1. 目前 vite2.x 是基于 rollup 打包的,而不是 esbuild,详见这里
  2. 使用 rollup-plugin-visualizer 进行打包分析,打包之后,会在根目录默认生成一个 stats.html 文件
  3. 使用 vite-plugin-imagemin 进行图片压缩。每次打包都会压缩一次,会占用构建耗时,有值得优化的空间,此处先不作讨论
  4. @vitejs/plugin-legacy vite默认对浏览器支持的基线是支持 ESM 的现代浏览器,这个插件就是用来兼容不支持 ESM 的浏览器,详见这里

从打包输出信息我们可看出:

  1. vendor-legacy.6772670a.js 打包之后 1896.50 KiB / gzip之后仍然有 576.97 KiB
  2. vendor.88c712d4.js 打包之后 1730.56 KiB / gzip之后仍然有530.72 KiB
  3. 个别图片资源过大
  4. 构建用了79.07秒,存在优化空间

打包优化

使用 rollup-plugin-visualizer 插件,打包之后生成 stats.html,我们可以看到以下的图表

需要注意的是,rollup-plugin-visualizer 的图标显示的包大小,是分了 chunk 但还没有压缩的时候的大小。

可以观察到:

  1. zenderecharts 占用了大部分的空间,首先需要把这部分处理掉
  2. vant/es@vue 已经是按需打包了,没有可以优化的空间
  3. loadash/es 再三检查过业务代码中没有用到,为什么还会打包进去?

优化echarts打包

因为对 echarts 不算熟悉,所以在引入的时候希望是别人封装好的,选的是 vue3-echarts 这个库,但是从打包结果来看,是把 echarts 全量打包进来了。

所以果断把vue3-echarts 直接换成官方的 echarts

打包之后 zenderecharts 还是在 vendor 内,且没有做 treeshaking,还是全量引进来了(echart 我只用到了 radar 组件,以及 canvas 渲染器,并没有使用svg 渲染器和其他组件)

可以看到,此事 lodash 已经不存在了,原来是 vue3-echarts 导致的。但 echarts 依然需要把它排除在 vendor 之外。这里有两个思路:

  1. echarts 作为外置(externals)。在打包的时候,会将 import * as echarts from 'echarts' 处理成 window['echarts'] (根据输出库目标,处理的结果也会不同,此处只考虑了浏览器端,是 AMD规范 的处理结果)。

    • 此方案存在一个缺点:依然会全量打包。尽管可以在 [echarts官网这里] (https://echarts.apache.org/zh...) 定制化,但是缺乏灵活性,如果项目需要另外引入其他模块,又需要重新定制化。
  2. echarts 作为独立的 chunk 打包,且是 treeshaking 后的 chunk

看到打包时vite的告警,有两个方案可以实现 echarts 作为独立的 chunk 打包

可以看到,的确是把 echarts 独立打包出来了,没有占用 vendor 的空间,而且是按 echarts 里面的模块来打包

但是我们依然可以看到把没有引入的模块打包进来了:还是可以看到 svg 渲染器、看到除了 radar 之外的组件。

优化legacy包

legacy的配置,是照搬其他项目的,考虑了 ie >= 11 版本的兼容。这个项目只需要考虑移动端,就可以不需要考虑 ie 了。直接置为默认配置就好

这样就解决了图片资源过大的问题,图片资源后续还可以考虑上传到CDN加速。

这里会存在一个问题:每次打包都会走一次图片压缩。

虽然好处是不会对原图片产生影响,但是会导致重复劳动,占用打包时间。既然生产是需要用压缩后的图片了,那么对源图片就没有必要留住了。所以我参考了vite-plugin-imageminimagemin 写了一个脚本,可以实现如下功能:

  1. 打包之前自动执行这个脚本进行图片压缩
  2. 压缩之后生成一个 imagemin.map.json 文件,是记录哪些图片已经压缩过了,不需要二次压缩
  3. 压缩之前检查当前图片的 修改时间 值是否在 .imagemin 文件内,在的话则过滤走,不在才需要压缩
  4. 压缩之后的图片,覆盖原本路径的处理

packages.json 添加前置脚本,执行 yarn build:test 的时候就会自动先执行 yarn prebuild:test

Done in 159.94s.

可以看到,第一次打包的时候需要额外耗时 122.469s,第二次打包在不添加图片的情况下平均耗时 159.94 - 122.469 = 37.47s。如果后面添加了新图片,也只对新图片进行压缩。

这种方案也有缺点:

  1. 覆盖原图,在设置压缩插件参数的时候,不方便看效果,需要先备份好
  2. 对指定目录下匹配通配符后缀的图片文件都会进行压缩,而不是业务组件引用了哪些图片,哪些图片才需要压缩

关于 imagemin 的备注:

  1. imagemin 这个包需要在 node >= 12.20.0 执行;在国内下载会比较慢,需要在 package.json 加字段 "resolutions": { "bin-wrapper": "npm:bin-wrapper-china" }
  2. imagemin 以及其他几个包都是 ESM 格式的包,没有做 commonjs 规范的兼容,所以在 node 环境执行我写的脚本,最好把脚本的后缀改为 .mjs ,另外一种方案是在 package.json 加字段 { "type": "module" },但考虑到其他脚本需要使用commonjs 规范,就没这么做了

总结

通过打包分析,确认了图片压缩导致了构建时间长(79.07 s),确认了以下因素导致了主包过大(共 568.19 kiB gzied:vendor 530.72 KiB gized,index 37.47 KiB gized):

  1. echarts 全量打包
  2. legacy 包存在冗余
  3. lodash 本不应该存在

解决方案:

  1. 通过 manualChunks 方案把 echarts 独立打包并按需打包,减少主包体积
  2. 通过去掉冗余配置,减轻 legacy
  3. 改用 echarts 方案,解决因为 vue3-echarts 引入而打包进来 lodash 的问题
  4. 通过脚本,在构建之前压缩图片,并通过缓存避免下次重复压缩,优化构建过程

成果:
主包从 568.19 kiB gized 减少到 199.82 KiB gized,体积减少了 64.8%
构建过程耗时从 79.07 s 减少到 37.47 s,耗时减少了 52.6%

后记

尽管在 vue3-echarts 方案下配置 manualChunks,或者 在 import() 方案下配置 manualChunks,虽然可以把 echarts 独立打包,但是没有进行 treeshaking
