Prepare the environment
First, you need to download “repo” script from kernel.org
my blog (please, use double quotes around the URL address):


curl "http://php.webtutor.pl/en/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/repo" > ~/bin/repo
chmod a+x ~/bin/repo
PATH=~/bin:$PATH


Download the Android repository
Now, you can safely download the repository, like so:


mkdir WORKING_DIRECTORY
cd WORKING_DIRECTORY
repo init -u git://codeaurora.org/platform/manifest.git -b gingerbread
repo sync
