2. shell out （for sth）：to  pay a lot of money for sth

eg：I shell out 600rmb per hour for my daughter's piano class.

3. take sth／sb by storm：在某处大获成功；使观众倾倒

eg： The play took London by storm

4. pipe dream：脱离实际的愿望；行不通的计划

5. a dime a dozen：very common and therefore not valuable

6. make／cause a splash：to do sth in a way that attracts a lot of attraction or cause a lot of excitement引起轰动
