我的第一个住家（2015/3/23）

写在前面：整整过去四年了！没想到时间过得这么快。初中仿佛还在昨天，而我已经却要准备大学了。我从小就适应能力比较强，也不怕生，所以十一岁开始就一个人住了。对我来说，那段时间有体验新奇的东西，也有以前从未面对过的困难。但回头看，当时的我已经经历了很多人这辈子都不会有的事情。可喜。

It has been an all new experience for me since the last week. I am only 13 years old and I have to go to home stay because my mom cannot stay in America for more than 3 month or she can never get in again. It’s hard for me and you have to learn more than you have thought. Things need to go through and you need think before you speak. These experiences will not come to you until you come to them.

In China, everything starts in the morning. But the only thing I had for breakfast is either cereal, sandwich (which is only an egg in the bread), waffles. It is unfortunate because I will probably be hungry in the morning. But what can I do? Everybody eats the same thing, I don’t want to be different. And apparently I have to get up before the daughter because…I don’t know why either…

Probably because she can sleep ten more minutes than us? (Me and Mana. she is anexchange student from Japan). Mrs. Adams is a kind woman who teach math in Kings 7th grade who also happen to be my math teacher.

Kendall-her daughter will drive us to school every morning and put the dog in to the room.They have a cute dog name Wilson. After school, I will go to Mrs. Adams‘s room to finish my homework and this time also happen to be she is tutoring some students. It is hard when you have nothing to do because you have already finished your easy homework. After, we will go back to home and I, Mana will play anysports with Cole-the son that Mrs. Adams have. And we will have dinner together and probably finish homework after dinner and take shower and read some booksand go to bed. Seems like I am a lot busier than I use to be. Yes it is a lot busier and we have too many things to figure out. Dinner always has been the best dish ever. Sometimes we have green bean with salad and BBQ chicken and sometimes we will have tacos.

It’s easy to see this family is not very rich. For example, they don’t have that much stuff in the fridge. What they eat is really simple and what they do is really simple too.

I counted it and I realize and she has at least 7 incomes. First she tutors students after school. Second my mom pays her to home stay at her house. Third manna’s exchange programs give money. Fourth she rented her house’s basement to other people. Fifth she gets money from her ex-husband because she has three kids to take care of. But still she is trying to rent the cheapest car to Arizona this spring break. I am going too. YAY. Here is a simple story to explain to you how she saves money. One time she saw one of our high school principles send an email: there will be a baseball game in shore crest high school! This is the first game we have ever played in 33 years! Come support and you will get a free burger and dinner BBQ! After she saw the email, she said we should go for free dinner. I just don’t know what to say.

But anyways I am very happy now because I feel like I am happy and I am thankful God who gave me this chance to have her be my home stay. Everything is hard when you don’t try. So be optimistic, be free.
