The Certificate Craze

When I studied in colleges, there were quite a few persons who had obtained various certifications studied with me, most of them still wanted to harvest more certificates. A survey which have been conducted by some investigators indicated that the proportion of examination to gain certificates is increasing year by year.

The reasons why they want to pass through the tests are plenty. In the eyes of some persons, a certification symbolize the capacity which is beneficial for their career. In other words, when he gets the certification, he is capable to be engaged in this field. And others think that, a great deal of persons have received many certificates, they feel that they fall behind if they do not do these. They follow the fashion without any personal think.

Actually, the behaviors represent that they are active to make progress. So these phenomena should be regarded from two sides: The enthusiasm of the certificate do not always imply negative effects. It is positive for us because it develop our abilities of working, but consuming more attention in it is not appropriate. The modes of promoting ourselves are numerous, obtaining the certificate is not the exclusive way.
