1. 最容易的从句
When I was young, I'd listen to the radio. Carpenters的声音传唱了《Yesterday once more》的经典。
这就是状语从句。没有名词性从句的复杂，没有定语从句的特殊，只有干脆和纯粹。
你只需要了解种类，记住几个单词和词组的用法，就可以彻底搞定。
所以，鄙人认为，状语从句是三大类从句中最容易的。
无论是什么种类，引导词引导状语从句，外加一个主句，将两个以上动词紧密衔接。
比如When I was young, I'd listen to the radio.中，when就是这个引导词，从句是when I was young，主句是I'd listen to the radio。when翻译为“当”，理解了，全句意思就自然出来了。所以状语从句的学习，最重要的就是借助大量练习，熟悉这些引导词。
2. 状语从句的种类
以状语具体的种类为界，状语从句可以分为时间、地点、原因、条件、目的、结果、让步、方式和比较等九种。下面一一介绍。
2.1 时间状语从句
引导词：when, as, while, as soon as, before, after, since（自从...以来） , not...until（直到…才）until/till, the minute, the moment, the second, every time, the day, the instant, immediately, directly（立即）, no sooner … than, hardly …when, scarcely … when（一...就...）。斜体部分词义类似。从句表时间。
当用no sooner … than，hardly …when，scarcely … when作为引导词的时候，从句要部分倒装。
I didn’t realize how special my mother was until I became an adult.
No sooner had I arrived home than it began to rain.
2.2 地点状语从句
引导词：where, wherever, anywhere, everywhere。从句表地点。
Where there is no rain, farming is difficult or impossible.
2.3 原因状语从句
引导词：because, since, as, now that（既然）, in that（因为）, considering that, given that，seeing that（考虑到）。斜体部分词义类似。从句表原因。
Now that everybody has come, let’s begin our conference.
2.4 目的状语从句
引导词：so that, in order that, lest, in case, for fear that (以防万一), in the hope that, for the purpose that, to the end that。斜体部分词义类似。从句表目的。
The teacher raised his voice on purpose that the students in the back could hear more clearly.
2.5 结果状语从句
引导词：so … that, such … that, such that, to the degree that, to the extent that, to such a degree that。从句表结果。
He got up so early that he caught the first bus.
2.6 条件状语从句
引导词：if, unless,whether(whether...or not), as/so long as, only if, providing/provided that, supposing that, in case(以防万一), on condition that.
从句表条件。
You will certainly succeed so long as you keep on trying.
2.7 让步状语从句
引导词：though, although, even if, even though，as(用在让步状语从句中必须要倒装)，while ( 一般用在句首表“虽然” )，no matter, in spite of the fact that, whatever, whoever, wherever, whenever, however, whichever。从句表让步，也就是退一步。
Much as I respect him, I can’t agree to his proposal.
2.8 比较状语从句
引导词：as(同级比较), than(不同程度的比较)，the more … the more … ; just as …， so…; A is to B what/as X is to Y（A和B的关系就如同X和Y）; no … more than; not so much A as B。从句表对比。
She is as bad-tempered as her mother.
2.9 方式状语从句
引导词：as, as if, how, the way。
从句表方式。
When in Rome, do as the Romans do.

这是一篇包括上述九种状语从句的短文。搞定一篇，搞定状从。
When I was a boy, I wanted to be a successful person. So I chose to study really hard at school where I spent most of my spare time. Unluckliy, I didn't succeed as scheduled in that I had terrible performance in National College Entrance Examination. I studied hard in my college days in the hope that I can be admitted by a famous postgraduate university. I even studied so late at night that sometimes my roommates said I disturbed them. But as long as the offer was sent to me in 2013, my roommates expressed their appreciation. Even though it took another four years to get into a prestigious university, I think my efforts finally paid off. I am better than I used to be because now I am more confident, usually acting as if I could achieve more.
