A Car Accident

I saw a terrible accident yesterday.

What happened?

I was waiting to cross the 3rd Street and the light was red.

Yes, many people don't want to wait for that light.

It takes a long time for that light to change.

So this young man didn't want to wait.

He run out into the traffic and a car hit him.

So he didn't see the car?

Right, he didn't see it, and it was going too fast to stop.

So what happen to him?

The driver got out of the car and stayed next to him.

He was just lying there.

I went out to direct traffic and several other people called for an ambulance.

How long did it take for the ambulance to arrive?

It didn't take long.

I think it only took 10 minutes.

How was the young man when the ambulance arrived?

His eyes were open, but there was blood coming out of his mouth.

It didn't look good.

Did the police come?

Yes, they got there just before the ambulance.

Did they ask you any questions?

Yes, they did.They asked a lot of questions.

So I told them what happened.

What about the driver of the car?

When the ambulance left, he was sitting in his car.

The police were talking to him.

What happen after that?

I don't know, because I had to get home.

How did you feel?

I kept thinking about it.

From now on, I'll be more careful crossing the street.
