Independence Day. 美国独立日

        美国独立日已过去一个星期了，想写点东西关于这个特殊的日子，一直忙着上网课但打好草稿趁中午时间修改记录下来。

It is a federal holiday on July 4, this is the date the 13 colonies legally separated,  America’s independence from Great Britain, Americans light up the night skies with fireworks , they demonstrate their patriotism, they are proud of their freedom.

John Hancock’s signature was the largest one on the Declaration of Independence on July 4 ,1776. People sing” The Star-Spangled Banner”, you can remember how many states there are by looking at the US flag, it has 50 stars in the blue rectangle, and 13 alternating red and white stripes, “ Old Glory” is a nickname for a flag.

On Independence Day, the flag waves high on flagpoles around the country. Approximately 2.5 millions people lived in the US on July 4, 1776. In 2017, the US population hit 324.5 million. Because of corona virus they blocked some states, we just saw some people had fireworks with their family.
