ST-LINK upgrade(升级)

1. If ST-LINK selects automatic reset, but it fails to reset automatically after downloading, it may be that the latest PACK is not installed, and it can be reset automatically after installing the latest PACK.

2. Sometimes the driver is installed, but it cannot be used, it can be re-plugged or unplugged, or automatically restarted.
   3. Two ST-LINKs cannot be connected at the same time, otherwise STM32 will not be recognized
   

3. If there is an unrecognized situation, it may be that ST-link has not been upgraded to the latest. You can use the following software to upgrade ST-link to the latest

The firmware version on hand is: STLinkV2.J16.S4; after programming the firmware, it is found that the STM32 ST-LINK Utility can be used to connect to the chip to be programmed, but if you try to simulate it with MDK, it will not succeed. To solve this problem, you need to upgrade the firmware of STLinkV2 and record the method.
Use tool: STM32 ST-LINK Utility v4.0.0.0
Step 1: Connect the ST-Link to the USB port of the computer to ensure that the st-link can be successfully identified.
Step 2: Open the STM32 ST-LINK Utility, click the ST-LINK menu (Figure 1), select the Firmware update command, and enter the firmware update interface (Figure 2).

Step 3: Click the “Device Connect” button in Figure 2, after the device is successfully connected, the interface is shown in Figure 3. The target firmware version is V2.J27.S6, which should also be the latest version.

Step 4: Click the “Yes” button in Figure 3 to start the firmware update. A progress bar prompts the update progress, as shown in Figure 4.

Step 5: The last step is basically finished, because under normal circumstances, there will be no problems. After the firmware update is successful, a message box will pop up, as shown in Figure 5. Click the “OK” button to complete the firmware update. So far, I haven’t encountered an update failure prompt, and there is no way to give pictures for now.
