名词性从句
三种句型(陈述句,一般疑问句,特殊疑问句)充当四种成分(主语,宾语,表语,同位语)

陈述句:English is important
主语
That English is important is known to us all.
It's known to us all that English is important.
宾语,只有这种情况that可省略
We all know (that) English is important.
表语
Our consensus is that English is important.
同位语
My opinion that English is important is agreed by many people.

一般疑问句:Is English important?
主语
Whether(or not) English is important (or not) is my question.(这种情况只用whether不用if)
It is my question whether/if English is important.
宾语
I doubt whether/if English is important.
表语
My question is whether/if English is important.
同位语
My question whether/if English is important has been debated by many people.

特殊疑问句: Who did this?/Who is he?
主语
Who did this remains/is a mystery.
It remains/is a mystery who did this.
Who he is remains/is a mystery.
It remains/is a mystery who he is.
宾语
I wonder who did this.
I wonder who he is.
表语
My question is who did this.
My question is who he is.
同位语
My question who did this has been debated.

主语从句
1. That the seas are being overfished has been known for years.
2. That the plates are moving is now beyond dispute.

一、It + be动词+过去分词+that从句

Whether引导的主语从句
Whether the Government should increase the financing of pure science at the expense of technology or vice versa often depends on the issue of which is seen as the driving force.
However, whether such a sense of fairness evolved independently in capuchins and humans, or whether it stems from the common ancestor that the species had 35 million years ago, is as yet, an unanswered question.
Whether the eyes are "the windows of the soul" is debatable; that they are intensely important in interpersonal communication is a fact.

Wh-副词引导的主语从句
Whoever tries to resolve a conflict soon learns that nothing pleases everybody.
What happened on September 11, 2001 will be forever etched in our memories.
Several days ago, a Beijing-based IT company fired about 400 people overnight. The act startled the fired employees and at the same time worried the rest. Moreover, what was special about this case was that the day before the 400 were fired, they all received from their boss a gift--the book Who Moved My Cheese?
How well the predictions will be validated by later performance depends upon the amount, reliability, and appropriateness of the information used and on the skill and wisdom with which it is interperted.

because引导的主语从句
Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.
Something which seems valuable at first may turn out to be worthless. Example: "All that glitters is not gold!" Just because something appears valuable does not mean that it really is valuable.
There is a big difference between activity and accomplishment. Just because you are doing something doesn't mean you are getting anywhere. One must evaluate one's activity in order to have accomplishment.

There is no love in marriage; love is in people, and people put it into marriage. There is no romance in marriage; people have to infuse it into their marriages. A couple must learn the art and form the habit of giving, loving, serving, praising--keeping the box full. If you take out more than you put in, the box will be empty.
Some women are much too preoccupied by family. Once the marriage begins to disintegrate, they're lost. That's where their unhappiness springs from and that's why most divorced mothers regard themselves as victims.

名词+that+陈述句
