精进源自对无常的观修。

如果我们将此放在心上，

就会观察到，

这一生刹那刹那的过去了。

于此，

我们将会建立一种确信，

如同经典所言：

“死期不知，死因不定。”

你还将了悟到——

自己无法做完人生中所有待办事项，

于是，你开始思忖着——

什么是人生中真正重要的事情，

然后据此排列优先事项去完成它。

Diligence depends upon meditating on impermanence. If we take it to heart, we will observe that this life is passing moment by moment. We will develop the certainty that, as the texts say, 'the time of death is unknown and the cause uncertain.'
