The Uber Advanced Technologies Group R&D Center has moved into San Fransico Pier 70, a 19-th century industrial building. Urban studio SITELAB has been transforming the site into a complex of offices, retail, residences and public space. After restabilizing the steel structure, the renovation was carried out with a “building-within-a-building concept”, without damaging the original  brick walls. According to Uber this project "revitalizes a crumbling shipyard facility into a vibrant place for work and public gatherings.”
