对于中国的电竞爱好者、特别是《绝地求生》游戏的粉丝们来说，2018年7月29日注定是个难以忘怀的日子。因为就在昨日深夜，来自中国的OMG电竞俱乐部绝地求生战队在第一届《绝地求生》PGI全球邀请赛中斩获FPP模式冠军。当五星红旗久违地在世界电竞赛场上飘扬的那一刻，这一夜，不仅属于中国《绝地求生》的选手和粉丝们，更是中国电竞体育的荣耀一刻。
根据公开资料显示，作为目前全球最热门的电子竞技项目之一的《绝地求生》，从正式发行至今不过只有7个多月的时间。这意味着对于所有的职业战队来说，要熟悉打法，锻炼战术，时间都十分紧迫。但是，和其他大部分电竞体育项目不同之处在于，《绝地求生》同时还是一款对于比赛电脑性能要求很高的游戏。对于OMG俱乐部中最“年轻”的绝地求生战队来说，紧迫的训练时间和欠缺足够高性能的训练用电竞主机，曾经一度是摆在他们面前的两道难关。
