这里我们从Activity的启动流程开始分析,一路向西。冲冲冲!

正题

一. 如何启动(跳转)一个Activity

Intent intent = new Intent(this,要跳转的活动.class);
startActivity(intent);

上面的代码即可启动一个Activity,疑惑点随之就来了

  • Activity的onCreate()方法是在何时被系统回调的?
  • Activity是在何时被创建的?
  • Activity工作原理到底是如何的?

二、源码层

开始着手源码,因为只有执行了startActivity()才会开始跳转创建新Activity。
那么执行startActivity()方法在哪被执行的呢?因为startActivity存在于Activity之中,只有继承或者拿到了Activity的上下文才能去执行startActivity等方法,所以这里直接进入Activity.java找到startActivity()方法

1.Activity.java

我们先看 if (mParent == null)mParent在API 13之前代表的是一个ActivityGroup,它最开始被用来在一个界面中嵌入多个子Activity,但在API 13之后,mParent代表的并不是ActivityGroup了,代替它的就是Fragment。

我们再看到 mInstrumentation.execStartActivity方法的参数,mMainThread.getApplicationThread() ,它的类型是ApplicationThread,而ApplicationThread又是ActivityThread的一个内部类,而这两个Thread后面起到关键的作用。
我们再看到mInstrumentation.execStartActivity这个方法里的具体实现

3.startActivityForResult#execStartActivity

它的具体实现类在mInstrumentation类中。
先上代码

这里我们直接看到try部分,可以看出来Activity启动的真正实现是由ActivityManagerNative.getDefault()startActivity方法来完成的,那就不由得来介绍一下AMS了,AMS就是ActivityManagerService,AMS继承了AMN(Activity Manager Native) 而AMN又继承了Binder 并且实现了IActivityManager这个Binder接口,所以说AMS也是一个Binder,所以ActivityManagerNative.getDefault()就是一个IActivityManager类型的Binder对象,AMS这个Binder对象采用的单利模式,后续用该方法来获取到binder

当无法正确启动一个Activity时会抛出异常信息,就比如常见的Activity未在ActivtiyManifest.xml中注册。
ok,再回到刚刚讲的AMS,具体实现与交互都在AMS中,那么来进入AMS中的世界

3.2 AMS#startActivity

可以看得出来Activity的启动过程又交给了mActivityStarterstartActivityMayWait方法,接着调用顺序为startActivityMayWait—>startActivityLocked—>startActivityUncheckedLocked—>ActivityStack—>resumeTopActivityUncheckedLocked,这个时候启动过程已经从ActivityStackSupervisor转移到了ActivityStack.

那么再来看看ActivityStack中的resumeTopActivityUncheckedLocked方法

然后resumeTopActivityInnerLocked方法中调用了ActivityStackSupervisor的startSpecificActivityLocked方法,那就直接看到该方法

可以看到它继承IInterfaceIApplicationThread extends IInterface,它是一个Binder类型的接口。该方法包含了大量启动、停止Activity的接口,此外还包含了启动和停止服务的接口。该Binder接口的实现者, 完成了大量的Activity以及Service启动和停止等一些功能。

可以看到IApplicationThread实现了Binder接口,那就不得不来看看ApplicationThread,因为ApplicationThreadIApplicationThread的具体实现者

ApplicationThread extends ApplicationThreadNative

再来看看ApplicationThreadNative

简而言之 ApplicationThread 继承了 ApplicationThreadNative,而ApplicationThreadNative 继承了Binder并且实现了IApplicationThread
ApplicationThread就是ActivityThread的一个内部类。

再来看看ApplicationThreadProxy类

在ApplicationThread里,scheduleLaunchActivity实现比较简单,就是发送一个启动Activity的消息交由Handler处理(ActivityThread),这个Handler的别名就叫 H 。接着看到sendMessage(H.LAUNCH_ACTIVITY, r);该方法,这里就是发送一个消息给H处理, 具体实现如下

可以看出来,如果Application已经被创建了,那么就不会创建了,所以只有一个Application对象,Application对象的创建也是通过Instrumentation来完成的,也是通过类加载器来创建Application,待Application创建完毕后系统会调用Instrumentation.callApplicationOnCreate来调用Application的onCreate方法,如下代码所示

调用Activity的onCreate方法,它是通过mInstrumentation.callActivityOnCreate方法来执行调用,到这里就完成了整个启动过程,我们继续看看代码
