光提书名，大家可能不熟悉，但是提到作者，想必没有人不知道——绘本大师Eric Carle。他的The very hungry caterpillar，只要接触绘本的人，必定珍藏一本。
Papa, please get the moon for me是Eric Carle的另一佳作，书名意思为“爸爸，请给我摘月亮”；对应中文绘本名为《爸爸，我要月亮》。
“如果TA要天上的星星，我都愿意去给TA摘下来！”这句台词，在很多影视剧中出现过，用来表达自己对对方深深的爱，即使再困难，为了让对方开心，也要想办法做到。
Eric Carle也一样。这本Papa, please get the moon for me就是他为自己的女儿Cirsten创作的。
Before Monica went to bed she looked out of her window and saw the moon.The moon looked so near.
小茉莉正要去睡觉，望窗外一看，看到了月亮。月亮看起来好近。
"I wish I could play with the moon" thought Monica, and reached for it.
小茉莉心想：能跟月亮玩一玩该多好！就伸手去抓月亮。
But no mater how much she stretched, she could not touch the moon.
但是不管她把胳膊伸得多长，就是抓不到月亮。
"Papa," said Monica to her father, " Please get the moon for me."
小茉莉对爸爸说：“爸爸，请你把月亮拿下来给我。”
Papa get a very long ladder.
爸爸找来一架好长好长的梯子。（绘本中，这一页是折叠起来的，可以伸展开来，表现出梯子真的很长很长。）

最后，爸爸爬上了月亮，对月亮说：“我女儿小茉莉想跟你玩，可是你太大了。”（绘本中，这一页也是折叠的，可以向四个方向伸展开来，表现超级大的月亮。）
"Every night I get a little smaller," said the moon.
"When I am just the right size you can take me with you."
月亮说：“我每天晚上都会变小一点，等我变得合你的心意，你就可以把我带走了。”
And, indeed, the moon get smaller and smaller and smaller.
月亮真的越变越小，越变越小，越变越小……
When the moon was just the right size, papa took it.
月亮变得大小正合适的时候，爸爸就把他带走了。
Down and down and down he climbed.
爸爸不停地往下爬，往下爬。
"Here," said papa to Monica, " I have the moon for you."
爸爸对小茉莉说：“拿着，我帮你把月亮拿下来了。”
Monica jumped and danced with the moon.
小茉莉拿着月亮，一蹦一蹦地跳起舞来。
She hugged the moon and threw it into the air.
她搂着月亮，又把月亮扔向空中。
But the moon kept getting smaller and smaller and smaller, and finally it disappeared altogether.
可是月亮不停地在变小，越变越小，越变越小，后来，就整个儿不见了。
Then, on night, Monica saw a thin sliver of the moon reappear.
有一天晚上，小茉莉又看到了薄薄的一小片月亮。
Each night the moon grew…
每天晚上，月亮就变大一点。
and grew
他越变越大，
and grew.
越变越大……
最后一页，没有文字，只有一轮圆圆的大月亮，无声地证明着月亮的阴晴圆缺。
读这本绘本的时候，小朋友一定会被书里那不同方式的折页惊呆的！
