When I got interested in bioinformatics, I became a intern in Beijing Genomics Institute for about a year in my first year as graduate student. + work experience

Tell me somthing about ur education background
I graduated from xx University with a master degree of software engineering. My undergraduate degree is the same as my master’s. -
work experience
I began to work in xxx as a junior scientist from July, 201x. I worked there for about 8 months and then I left and took care of my father for several months. He had a surgery before. Then I began to work for xxx Technologies in August, 201x. I got promoted in 202x, and became senior bioinformatics engineer. -
what do you know about our company?
(description+prediction) It’s said taht the employee benefits of your company are pretty good. The key reason why I choose your company is your focus on developing new staff. I desire to work in a company like this. -
limited experience, how to adapt to this challenge?
I admit that relevant work experience may be helpful at times. But my work experience has helped me develop a good learning ability and woking initiative. I taught myself Java and use it to develop an online system all by myself. I also have cooperated with my coworkers to complete comprehensive projects. I am not afraid of pains or hardship. I believe I can adapt to the new job as soon as possible with a steady working attitude and a hardworking spirit. -
what are your salary expectations?
The normal salary for this type of work ranges from xx yuan to xxx, which is fairly reasonable for me. But at present I don’t quite understand your company’s wage levels, maybe I have made an inaccurate evaluation. Meanwhile, I think the salary is a representation of one’s work capacity, I hope my wage can change based on my working experience. I’m wondering whether you could tell me what is the suitable salary range in your mind. -
how do you think about your failures in life?
Failure is an essential part of life. None of us was born perfect. Failures can make me more awake and realize my weakness, as well as bring new ideas to my life. Nevertheless, we can get advice from others and learn more to prevent pointless failures. -
what’s your favorite college courses?
I prefer some professional courses, like Data Structure, Algorithms and Statistics, because they are good combination of theories and practices. Besides, I also like tennis and swimming, coz they help me build up strength. -
how do you feel about your team spirit?
Honestly, my teamwork spirit is relatively good. If admitted, I can show you the online system I developed and explain my part. It involved coworkers from lab, Project Managment, IT and bioinformatics. In face of a big project, teamwork can achieve the goal fully using everyone’s adavantages, and raise the work experiency at the same time. -

Can you tell sth about what you learned from your last job?
Firstly, I experienced the highly disciplined enteprise culture. Secondly, I have learned several tools and languages, which helped me develop some new tools and online systems. Thirdly, I have learned how to work with colleagues, as well as how to make presentations. -
what kind of workplace spirit do you value most?
As an engineer, practical mind, innovative spirit, sense of service and good teamwork spirit should be highly valued. -
business trip, do you mind?
I don’t mind at all. coz I can adapt to new places quickly and I am willing to concentrate on business during the trip. I also like traveling around when I was young. -
what’s your attitude about working overtime?
For this. I have made enough preparations. If necessary, I guarantee that I will be duty-bound. At the same time, I will raise my work efficiency to reduce overtime hours. -
what do you consider your weakness?
My weakness is that it’s easy for me to get bored by routine. By comparison, I prefer some challenges. Anyway I am welling to accept suggestions and improve myself. -
would you mind talking about your family?
Certainly not. My father is a civil servant and my mother is an accountant. I have a younger brother who is at middle school. We are very supportive of each other. -
Can you tell me sth about your hobbies?
I like hiking when weather is fine, coz it helps me release the pressure. Taking some courses at weekends is also my hooby. For example, I have got a certificate of barista. -
what was the reason that promoted you to leave your current company?
I like my last job, But I feel I have reached the peak level at the last company. There is no opportunity for advancement. I hope I can get more challenges and responsibilities here. -
what do you do with people’s criticism?
I will accept it firstly and then rethink it in patience. If the criticism just points out my shortage, I will talk with him with gratitude.Otherwise I will just forget it. -
what do you expect from this work?
This is a good opportunity for me. I hope to get attractive salary and welfare benefits,which can change my life economically. Besides, this job satisfies my hobby and is advantageous for my career development. -
do you have a clear life plan?
Yes. I think one can reach his goal easier if he has a clear life plan. What I should do in this phase is working hard, learning about the business process and adapting to the company culture.Once I gain sufficient experience, I’d like to move on from a technical position to a management position. -
what a leader would you like to have?
As a worker, I will cooperate with leaders’ decisions sincerely. But for me, I prefer leaders who can point out my errors in time and help me fo forward. -
what sort of people do you think is difficult to work with ?
I think everyone is my potential friend. sometimes it just takes time to work with some one who has different rhythm. I will be patient and try to get along with them. -
Do you ever want to start your own business?
As I see, starting a business requires an economic base and lots of experience, which I don’t have now. I’d like to learn more at present and consider setting up business when I get mature. -
Do you talk with other companies at the same time?
Yes. coz I want to find a job which suits me best. -
which management style do you prefer, severe or light?
I think it depends on the company culture. Employees should learn to adapt to it. Some pressure may encourage employees to adapt to new environment at beginning. Then the pressure could decrease a little bit. -
how to handle conflict
Firstly, I will try to propose my ideas in a more courteous way and make my points clearly. We need to calm down and then discuss. -
will you accept department exchange if you were admitted?
I would like to agree with reasonable arrangement by the company.But I think I am better at xxx(current position).
