next to 紧挨着

Her eyes were fixd on her plate and in a short time, she was busy eating.

were fixd on 被动态，眼睛被我的意思。

Will you be seeing it 用将来进行时 提问，更加委婉客气。

if you ate more and talked less, we would both enjoy our dinner.

后面主句用 过去将来时，前面从句用过去式。
