网易云音乐里排第一的评论是:“用唱情歌的语气告诉前女友滚远点”。我个人认为这个解读有点想当然了。歌词里虽然在反复劝前任放手，但目的是让她"love yourself"。当然最有力的证据应该是这一句，“And I didn't wanna write a song cause I didn't want anyone thinking I still care”。嘴上说不要，但是身体却很诚实。虽然说不想写歌纪念这段感情，让别人误会，但其实歌词里有不少描写感情细节的部分。因此我认为这首歌表达的是，希望对方放下这段感情，开始崭新的生活，别让这段过去的记忆成为人生路上的累赘，好好爱自己。不过我觉得更深层次的理解也可以说自己其实也放不下，一直在逞强。这些劝说实际上也是在对自己说。
