grab = have = take
suck (it's a drag; social butterfly)
pass on = don't want to do /will not do sth
its a nice gesture (its the thought that counts)
1 grab
Grab=take=have 但是表示匆忙地拿,取,吃,喝。这个词简直太好用,以后可以大胆地用grab来代替take和have啦,比如:grab a sandwich, grab a beer, grab a big chance,grab a book, grab a bar of chocolate, grab sb's attention等等.
May I grab a cup of coffee?
2 suck
suck=bad=terrible=its a drag,需要注意的是它是一个动词呢。
For social butterflies, holding a party is plenty happy. However, it pretty much sucks for other people.
3 pass on
pass on : you do not want sth that is offered to you 不要;免掉。其实就是表达will not do / do not want do sth。
I do not want to go Beijing. 现在就可以用pass on 来做代替啦---I pass on the Beijing.
OMG,I am going to pass on the midnight snacks. Maybe next time we can grab the midnight snacks.
4 It's a nice gesture.
It's a nice gesture来表示一番好意真真是简单呀 ~
I do not like your gift, after all, its a nice gesture. you know, its the thought that counts.
I am plenty happy that so many teachers and friends grab good chances for me about job.I refused decent chances, but after all, its nice gestures.
1 get a message to sb, 传话
2 wiped =exhausted = fatigued
3 you are dead meat
4 you are a talker
