感恩节快乐,还好吗?

We generally refer to those whose language, thinking and emotions are directed inward as introverts. They are generally quiet, unsociable, solitary, conservative and reflective. Introverts feel energized when they're alone, and they find their own little pleasures all the time. And in dealing with others, many times will have no energy or uncomfortable. This is the opposite of extroverts. Research shows that introverts are by no means a minority in the world, and that most gifted people are introverts. As we have seen, many scientists and artists are introverts. They like and are used to being alone. They are sensitive and emotional. When alone, these people can explore, discover new things and create new things by themselves. For example, Tom Hanks, Steve Martin, Helen hunt, harrison ford and others are introverts who have achieved extraordinary achievements in their own fields.

Introverts have many advantages over extroverts. For example, they are better at one-to-one relationships, pay more attention when doing things, constantly reflect on themselves, are creative and analytical -- they are by no means "unfriendly, dorky, and socially incompetent" as we might think.

Many times, introverts are seen as shy, but in fact, shyness and introversion are not necessarily related. For shy people, getting along with others is an uncomfortable and awkward experience, while introverts don't feel that way. They just like to be alone.

Shyness is an emotion that many people have more or less in their daily life, and there are many examples around us.

Even extroverts feel shy about something at some point, so in general, shyness is a normal state of being socially uncomfortable. Generally speaking, we believe that shyness can occur at the emotional, behavioral and psychological levels. On the behavioral level, shy people tend not to actively interact with others; On the psychological level, shy people have the ambivalence that they want to make contact with others, but they are afraid of making contact with others.

Of course, the symptoms caused by shyness are not serious, and we can completely overcome them. However, in spite of this, it still brings obstacles to people's life to some extent, reduces people's quality of life, and often prevents us from striving for what we really want. Therefore, "overcoming shyness" is of great significance to each of us.

However, if this equates shyness with social phobia, you'd be wrong.

Because, social phobia is a very strong, can cause great obstacles to interpersonal communication of extreme fear.

Social phobia is no longer as normal and controllable as shyness, and people with social phobia are more likely to escape because of the great pain caused by social contact -- escape from people, escape from social contact, etc. If social for shy people is a challenge, so as a disaster for social phobia patients: whether it is chatting with others, or meet a stranger, or even just a simple daily communication will lead to social phobia patients depression or even collapse, they are so care about the opinions of others, so want to escape from others' attention, even a eye to light, for social phobia is a purgatory.

Overall, the differences between introversion, social phobia, and shyness can be summarized as follows:

From the above table, we can feel more intuitively that introversion, shyness and social phobia are indeed quite different from each other, and they can never be equated.
