原文:

大曰逝，逝曰远，远曰反。

故道大，天大，地大，人亦大。

域中有四大，而人居其一焉。

人法地，地法天，天法道，道法自然。

译文：

它广大无边而运行不止，运行不止而伸展深远，伸展深远而重返本原。

所以说道大、天大、地大、人也大。

宇宙间有四大，而人为其中之一。

人效法地，地效法天，天效法道，道效法自然。

解释:

逝：指道运行不止。

远：形容道的幽远。

反：返回，回归。

域：指宇宙。

我的翻译:

Dao or Da runs continuously.

It  runs deeply.

It runs circularly.

So Dao is great.Heaven is great.Earth is great.Human is also great.

Universe has four kinds of greatness.

Human is one of them.

Human follows the example of  Earth.

Earth follows the example of  Heaven.

Heaven follows the example of Dao.

Dao follows the example of Nature.
