by是一个介词。它的一个常用用法是后接某种交通工具，表达“使用此种交通工具”的意思。比如：
I go to work by bus every day.
by之后可以接大部分的交通方式，如：
by bike / e-bike
by boat
by train
by tube / subway / underground
by plane / air
但有一个特例：
on foot 步行
特别注意：by之后的交通工具永远都是单数且不加a/the！
提问用何种交通工具出行，用How。如：

为什么一个不加the，一个加the？
在一些go to...结构中省略the，可表达特殊含义。
go to work
不是“去公司里”，而是 “上班”之意。（习惯上不说go to the work。） 同理，
go to office上班；go to the office去办公室
go to school
上学；go to the school去那所学校
go to bed
上床睡觉；go to the bed到床那边去
注：go to bed不同于sleep。前者意为“去睡觉”，强调上床这个动作，而后者意为“睡着”，强调进入睡眠这个结果。
