What was Frank's first job? Yesterday afternoon Frank Hawkins was telling me about his experiences as a young man. Before he retired,Frank was the head of a very large business company,but as a boy he used to work in a small shop. It was his job to repair bicycles and at that time he used to work fourteen hours a day. He saved money for years and in 1958 he bought a small work shop of his own. In his twenties Frank used to make spare parts for aeroplanes. At that time he had two helpers. In a few years the small work shop had become a large factory which employed seven hundred and twenty-eight people. Frank smiled when he remembered his hard early years and the long road to success. He was still smiling when the door opened abd his wife came in. She wanted him to repair their grandson's bicycle.

知识笔记

1.（L0）朗读很顺利，今天的文章不算太长。

2.(L1) 今天用的是美式英语发音。音标/t/为非重读音节且出现在两个元音之间，t 需要拍舌尖不完全爆破，发成近似d 的音，练习了Italy 、letter、water。

3.（L4）重新听了第九课，听第二遍时才听清楚would 、under 。听了第十课，clavichord 、musical 、instrument 、string、damage 单词不会写，vistor单词写错。只是朗读单词和句子。practice 、practice 、practice 可能才可以不会忘记了。

练习感悟

持续做一件事确实不容易。因为学习其它的课程耽误了十几天，惰性依然在哪里。每天朗读不难，天天做就有了困难了。继续努力！
