Aria2：轻量命令行下载工具

有时候，你只想要一种快速简单的方法来下载大型文件。如果你和我一样，你会想要一个内存占用尽量小的工具。Aria2提供了这种能力。当下载一个最近的Linux发行版的torrent时，5MB的内存占用就够了。没有其他下载工具能做到这点。

使用Aria2的好处是，你可以从多个来源（镜像）下载同一个文件，并用每个源削减下载时间。你也可以打开同一下载任务的多个管道，这也可以减少下载时间。

英文原文： Lightweight Command Line Downloading with Aria2

Sometimes you just want a quick and easy way of downloading  large files.  If you’re like me, you want this with as little of a memory footprint as possible.  Aria2 gives me this ability.  When downloading a torrent for a recent Linux release, I was able to do this with only 5MB of memory being used.  No other download programs can give me this.

What’s nice about aria2 is that you can download the same file from multiple sources (mirrors) and cut your download times with each source.  You can also open multiple pipes to the same download which shortens the time as well.
