Historian OPC Data Collector Issue

Data Collector Environment Description:

• Primary Data Collector:
•   OS: Windows Server Enterprise 2003 R2 & SP2
•   Data Collector: B&R PVI Software 2.06.00
•   Historian OPC Collector: Historian 3.5

 

Backup Data Collector: 

  OS: Windows XP SP2

  Data Collector: B&R PVI Software 2.06.00

  Historian OPC Collector: Historian 3.5

 

Special Notes: these two collectors were configured as redundancy in Historian Server.

 

Problem description:

  After the Historian OPC Collector-B service is running, the OPC Collector does not generate any file in the buffer file folder and log file folder, and Historian keeps receiving “Bad”data from collector when failover event occured.

 

Possible Solution:

  Please check if there SIM patch is installed on both node, and if its version is the same with each other.
