一、系统调用select,把原来当前进程的单睡眠等待状态变成了现在的多睡眠等待状态。具体请看代码,select在内核中的实现为sys_select,代码如下:

其中fd_set,是关于已打开文件的位图,位图中的每一个位都代表着当前进程的一个已打开文件。

需要对设备的异步操作时,一个进程必须作好下列准备:
1、先打开目标设备。
2、设置好对目标设备的SIGIO信号处理程序。
3、通过系统调用fcntl将本进程设置成目标设备(已打开文件)的"主人"。
4、通过系统调用ioctl将目标设备(已打开文件)设置成异步操作模式。

这样,当目标设备中状态发生变化时,就会向进程发送一个SIGIO信号。平时这个进程可以干自己的事,当接收到SIGIO信号时就转入前台的信号处理程序中,完成对设备的具体操作。显然,此时的进程就好像受到外部设备中断的CPU一样。
那么,我们看,当目标设备,我们这个例子中是鼠标文件,发生变化时,是什么样的处理流程?
