简介：The ACM Special Interest Group on Management of Data is an association for students and professionals interested in research, development, and deployment of solutions to large-scale data management problems. The scope of interests that members bring to SIGMOD is wide, with an almost equal mix of people from industry and from academia. SIGMOD sponsors an annual conference that is regarded as one of the most important in the field.
值得称赞的是SIGMOD每年还提供一些数量的need based student travel grant。非常的不错，折合人民币下来要一万多块，一般来说节省一点的话往返机票差不多够了。每年SIGMOD和PODS同时举办，在我看来PODS的文章要比SIGMOD的文章难一些，理论性更强一些。
