一.下载bcompare

         http://www.scootersoftware.com/download.php

二.安装

1) extract files.
> tar zxvf BCompare_*.tar.gz

2) run install.sh
> cd bcompare-*
> ./install.sh

The default location when installing as root is "/usr." If the user does not have root privileges, Beyond Compare will be installed to the users home directory by default.

The default installation directory can be overridden with the --prefix=[DIR] option. This is also documented with ./install.sh --help.

3) Run Beyond Compare
> $HOME/bin/bcompare  (non-root install)
> /usr/bin/bcompare   (root install)

四。使用

 1.   在需要对比的文件或文件夹上点击右键--》脚本--》compare

2.  或者使用指令比较，如下

首先把sh copy到环境变量下。

#echo $PATH

#sudo cp bcompare /usr/bin/

然后可以在任何位置使用  如下命令进行比较：

bcompare  a.txt  b.txt

五。安装中出现的错误：

5.1 Some Shared Libraries were not found

linux-gate.so.1 =>  (0xf7705000)
libz.so.1 => /lib/i386-linux-gnu/libz.so.1 (0xf76d3000)
libqtc.so.1 => /home/yyb/lib/beyondcompare/libqtc.so.1 (0xf71bd000)

解决方法，由于没有安装qt的缘故。 
sudo apt-get install libqwt5-qt4 libqwt5-qt4-dev 
sudo apt-get install ia32-libs ia32-libs-gtk linux32 lib32asound2

5.2. ubuntu14.04下 无效了

12.04下面：sudo apt-get install ia32-libs 
14.04下面：sudo apt-get install libglib2.0-0:i386

5.3 Some Shared Libraries were not found

libXft.so.2 => not found

解决方法： 
sudo apt-get install libgtk2.0-0:i386 libnss3:i386 libcurl3-gnutls:i386 libidn11:i386 libpango1.0-0:i386 libpangox-1.0-0:i386 libpangoxft-1.0-0:i386 librtmp0:i386 libxft2:i386
