在LINUX上安装VMware

由于项目需要,要在Linux下虚拟一个Windows,经过查找些资料,发现可一用VMware来实现，以下就是安装的步骤.

首先到https://www.vmware.com/ 下载最新的安装包,比如VMware-server-1.0.5-80187.tar.gz,这个是免费版本，使用下面的命令解压后安装.

1、tar -zxvf  VMware-server-1.0.5-80187.tar.gz

2、cd ./vmware-distrib

3、./vmware-install.pl

下面按照提示选择就可以了,如果没有特殊要求,直接回车即可.

4、安装完启动VM,提示符下输入命令:vmware,或者按照提示输入就可以起动,就可以看到VMware的界面了.

 

开始为Linux 服务器安装Vmware Server

    安装程序会提问一些问题，并同时给出缺省的答案。

    1. 切换到超级用户权限

    $ su -
    Password:
    [root@localhost root]# cd vmware-server-distrib

    2. 开始安装

    #./vmware-install.pl

    3. 选择二进制文件安装路径

     # Creating a new installer database using the tar3 format.
    Installing the content of the package.
    In which directory do you want to install the binary files?
    [/usr/bin]
    What is the directory that contains the init directories (rc0.d to rc6.d)?
    [/etc/rc.d] #选择初始化目录安装路径
    What is the directory that contains the init scripts?
    [/etc/rc.d/init.d] #选择初始化脚本文件安装路径
    In which directory do you want to install the daemon files?
    [/usr/sbin]
    In which directory do you want to install the library files?
    [/usr/lib/vmware]

    4. 选择相关文件安装路径

    #The path “/usr/lib/vmware” does not exist currently. This program is going to
    create it, including needed parent directories. Is this what you want?
    [yes]
    In which directory do you want to install the manual files?
    [/usr/share/man] #选择操作手册页面文件安装路径
    In which directory do you want to install the documentation files?
    [/usr/share/doc/vmware] #选择文档文件安装路径

    5. 安装结束

    #The path “/usr/share/doc/vmware” does not exist currently. This program is going
    to create it, including needed parent directories. Is this what you want?
    [yes]
    The main install is now complete and you should see something similar to what follows:
    The installation of VMware Server <build number> for Linux competed successfully.
    You can decide to remove this software from your system at any time by invoking thefollowing command:     “/usr/bin/vmware-uninstall.pl”. #安装结束

    6. 启动vmware 配置

    # Before running VMware Server for the first time, you need to configure it by
    invoking the following command: “/usr/bin/vmware-config.pl”. Do you want this
    program to invoke the command for you now? [yes]
    此时系统会自动关闭现有的Vmware服务守护进程，如图 8 。

    7. 选择图标文件安装路径

    In which directory do you want to install the mime type icons?
    [/usr/share/icons]

    [/usr/share/pixmaps]

    8. 阅读接受终端用户许可协议

    9. 安装相关模块

    10. 配置网络

 选择网络接口名称

 配置vmnet0

 配置vmnet8

 探测DHCP 子网,自动探测，随机选择

 配置host-only 网络环境

    11. 安装内核模块

    12. 选择远程服务端口

    13. 建立perl脚本文件

    14. 生成SSL证书文件

    15. 输入注册时获得的20位产品序列号如图9. 。

    16.如果配置过程和序列号正确，系统会完成配置并且启动Vmware服务器。如图10 。

    17． 系统会自动在系统工具菜单建立一个：“Vmware Service Console”服务控制台的子选项。如图 11 。
