Day14

A whole view of digital healthcare

This article thoroughly explains the digital revolution in healthcare.

Firstly, it illustrates the application of artificial intelligence in health devices and makes respective predictions  about Alexa's functions, which vividly manifests the inevitable trend of the digital revolution in healthcare.

Despite the previous failure in the implementation of the IT projects, the digital healthcare has soared by boosting the efficiency of the cost, which usually is wasted in administrations and unnecessary treatments.

Alongside with this, digital products are accepted by consumers. Thus the revolution is inevitable.

However, where is a resolution, there are winners and losers. Traditional innovators, incumbent players and insurgents play their own role in the revolution. Among these three groups, IT companies like Google, Apple, Amazon play a most critical part to promote the digitalization in healthcare.

Precaution prevents the diseases from happening . The relevance creates benefits. For the prevention part, the matching system was built to help you find your personal coach in order to get you exercise. And the apps and wearable devices provide the consumers with data and feedback, making them better track their health conditions. A typical example can be given in Onduo. It becomes your decision-maker on health, choosing drugs and lifestyles which are most suitable for you, thus preventing you from getting sick.

Telemedicine, to some extent, reduces the admission of the hospital, but generates a rapid medical and diagnostic innovation.

You may think the hospitals are totally losers. As a matter of fact, they are not. The more AI is applied in the healthcare, the more machine-learning programs there will be. And the hospitals need to stream and analyze the live data.

Visions of the health-care entrepreneurs are much more broadened with the inevitable trend of digitalization. The medical care will move into individuals' home and many  applications have been developed with more innovators participating.

As we can see, in the short term, the apps will grow rapidly, which will boost the efficiency by getting more consumers accept the products of medical care. Moreover, in the long term, large technology firms will be the huge winners.

There is still a long way to go as the accuracy, security, privacy need to be enhanced. Needless to say, the future success also depend on more value that the tech firm place on the digital health care revolution
