由中国著名艺术批评家、哲学博士荣剑先生担任策展人,中国艺术研究院美术研究所研究员、博士生导师王端廷教授担任学术主持的“吴霜艺术展-美人赠你蒙汗药”展览,将于2018年8月26日在北京锦都艺术中心开幕。
吴霜是中国当代著名青年女艺术家,80后抽象表现主义代表艺术家之一。2007年在德国卡塞尔艺术学院自由艺术系留学,2009年毕业于四川美术学院油画系获学士学位,2014年毕业于中央美术学院版画系硕士研究生班,现作为职业艺术家工作生活于中国北京。曾举办“色舞——吴霜作品展”、“色界——吴霜个展”、“无霜——吴霜个展”等个人展览。截止目前,吴霜曾应邀参加国际、国内各大展览多达60余次。其作品被何香凝美术馆、今日美术馆、悦美术馆、原美术馆、北京当代美术馆、时代美术馆等机构以及私人藏家收藏。
本次展览的策展人荣剑先生,2005年创办北京锦都艺术中心,自2006年4月起,在“第三空间”的理论主题下推出了“中国抽象艺术系列展”,锦都艺术中心迄今已举办了上百个展览,在业界产生了非常好的反响,被公认为是中国国内最重要的抽象艺术推广机构。荣剑先生出版的专著有:《民主论》、《超越与趋同》、《马克思晚年的创造性探索》、《社会批判的理论与方法》等,其中《民主论》一书产生了巨大的国际影响力,被美国国会图书馆作为经典文献收藏。
本次“吴霜艺术展”的学术主持王端廷教授,曾在《燃烧的激情——吴霜绘画的精神品格》的学术文章中指出吴霜的绘画独特性:“与我国很多喜欢泼彩方法的抽象画家不同,尤其有别于大多数仅凭感性和直觉创作的女性艺术家,吴霜同时采用多种技法来创作,彰显了对色彩、造型和构图等因素极强的控制力。吴霜用她充满快乐激情的作品向我们揭示了艺术的真谛”
吴霜的艺术作品风格鲜明,是国内少有的敢于用色,善于用色的艺术家,尤其是敢于用纯度明度很高的颜色,并且她能够将很多看似水火不容的对比色在一幅画面上处理得既对抗又协调,即能产生一种灵动的张力,又能恰到好处地互补衬托,对色彩感觉和控制能力超群。她绘画中创造的形态各异的动物形象更是深受观众的喜爱,不但受到了年轻人的热烈追捧,同时也受到了学术界的关注和研究。
近期,艺术家吴霜在北京锦都艺术中心举办的最新个展,将集中呈现她近三年的佳作,为观众带来一场视觉盛宴。开幕式当天,也将同时举办由艺术家吴霜著、团结出版社出版的《Flame-吴霜艺术作品集》的新书发布会。
The "Wu Shuang Art Exhibition" is about to open in Beijing.
The "Wu Shuang Art Exhibition - Knockout Drops from A Beauty", will be held in Jindu Art Centre, Beijing on August 26,2018, whose curator is Mr. Rong Jian, Famous Chinese art critics, Ph. D. of Philosophy, while Professor Wang Duanting, a researcher and doctoral supervisor of the Fine Arts Institute of the Chinese Academy of Arts, is the academic chairman.
Wu Shuang, a famous young female artist in contemporary China, is one of the representatives of post-80s abstract expressionism. In 2007, she studied at the free art institution of Kassel University in Germany. In 2009, she graduated from the oil painting department of Sichuan Fine Art Institute with a bachelor's degree. In 2014, she graduated from the postgraduate course in engraving department of China Central Academy of Fine Arts. Now, as a professional artist, she lives and works in Beijing, China. She has held "Color Dance - Wu Shuang Works Exhibition", "World of Colors - Wu Shuang Solo Exhibition", "No Frost - Wu Shuang Solo Exhibition" and so on. Up to now, Wu Shuang has been invited to attend more than 60 international and domestic exhibitions, whose works are collected by famous institutions and private collectors, such as He Xiangning Art Museum, Today Art Museum, Enjoy Art Museum, Yuan Art Museum, MOCA Beijing Museum, Times Art Museum.
Mr. Rong Jian, curator of this exhibition, founded the Jindu Art Center in Beijing in 2005. Since April 2006, under the theoretical theme of "Third Space", Mr. Rong Jian launched the "China Abstract Art Series Exhibition". The Jindu Art Center has organized hundreds of exhibitions so far, which has produced a very good response in the industry, and is generally recognized as the most important institution of abstract art promotion in China. The book published by Mr. Rong Jian is as follows: "On Democracy" , "Transcendence and Convergence" , "Creative Exploration in Marx's Late Years" , "Theory and Methods of Social Criticism", etc. Among them, his book "On Democracy" had a great international influence and was collected by the U.S. Congress Library as a classic document.
Professor Wang Duanting, is the academic director of Wu Shuang Art Exhibition this time. He once pointed out the uniqueness of Wu Shuang's painting in the academic article "Burning Passion - the Spiritual Character of Wu Shuang's Painting": "Unlike many of our abstract artists who like splashing color, Wu Shuang is especially different from most female artists who only create by perceptual and intuition. She uses various techniques to create at the same time. It shows her strong control over color, shape and composition. Wu Shuang reveals to us the true meaning of art with her works full of happiness and passion."
The style of Wu Shuang's works are distinct. Wu Shuang is one of the few artists who dare to use colors and good at coloring. Not only does she dare to use high-brightness colors, but she is able to deal with many seemingly incompatible contrasts in a single picture in a confrontational and coordinated manner, which can produce a kind of smart tension, and it can perfectly complement each other. She is superior to color perception and control. The different shapes of animals created in her paintings are popular among audiences, which are not only enthusiastically pursued by young people, but also concerned and studied by academia.
In the near future, the latest exhibition held by artist Wu Shuang at Beijing Jindu Art Center will focus on her recent three years' masterpiece and bring a visual feast to the audience. On the day of the opening ceremony, it will also hold a press conference on the new book "Flame-Wu Shuang Art Collection ", written by Artist Wu Shuang, while published by Unity Press.

站在吴霜的绘画前,瞬间有一种致幻感,那如火如荼的色彩,扑面而来,裹挟着激情、欲望、颤栗、惊悚和各种难以名状的兴奋,身不由己地跟随她进入一个艺术的“明斯基时刻”——标志着以往色彩表达系统的崩溃。矜持的端庄的典雅的色彩被扫荡以尽,绘画秩序在画笔的狂飙突进中被彻底解构,又在纵横挥洒中被再次建构起来,令人无法想象是那个蒙娜丽莎的微笑,因为涌到前头的是玛丽莲·梦露猩红般的大嘴,和在醉眼朦胧中流露出来的迷茫。视觉冲击如此,绅士不能自持,修女也会疯狂,被癫狂的思绪如同脱缰的野马,突然回到了王朔,美人赠你蒙汗药,在被迷倒的那一刻,心里依旧荡漾着醉人的酒香。
色彩作为绘画之元,曾几何时,已完全迷失了方向,在经历了古典的、现代的和后现代的多重洗礼之后,已越来越羞于表达自我。色彩或者沦落为粉饰对象的工具,或者沉迷于观念的图解,而色彩的自我表达和呈现则被越来越多的清规戒律所束缚。从野兽派到表现主义,色彩随心所欲的秉性被理性和算计长期遮蔽,反色彩成为话语霸权,艺术家亦步亦趋于暗色、单色甚至无色,缤纷灿烂的大千世界被艺术消解得黯然失色。
吴霜的绘画是色彩的解放?是新的艳俗艺术?抑或是又一剂麻翻艺术的毒药?当色彩如同岩浆喷薄欲出时,边界被打破,绘画连同画框,融为一体。这是色彩的溢出,美人如同战士,美色转化为难以抗拒的暴力,席卷而来,谁能阻挡?绘画该当如此,无所顾忌,纵情声色,恣意汪洋,挥斥方遒,只遂我心。
Knockout Drops from A Beauty

Standing in front of Wu Shuang's paintings, you will feel there is a sense of hallucination at that moment. The color in full swing rushes forward with passion, desire, trembling, horror and indescribable excitement and involuntarily follows her into an artistic "Minsky Moment" - marks the collapse of the previous color expression system. The elegant and dignified colors of abhorrence were wiped out, and the order of painting was deconstructed entirely in the arrogance of the brush. Moreover, it was reconstructed in vertical and horizontal motions. What was impossible to imagine is the smile of Mona Lisa because what was rush in front is the scarlet mouth of Marilyn Monroe, and the confusion revealed in her drunken eyes. The visual impact such like this that a gentleman cannot stand, a nun is also mad, and a madman's thought is like a dislocated mustang. Suddenly it returns to Wang Shuo. The beauty will present you with knockout drops. At the moment of being lost, the heart is still mingling with the intoxicating bouquet.
Color, as an original painting element, has completely lost its direction. After undergoing multiple classical, modern, and post-modern baptisms, it has become increasingly shy to express itself. Color may become a tool for whitewashing objects, may be indulged in the illustration of ideas, and the self-expression and presentation of colors are bound by more and more rules and regulations. From the Fauvism to Expressionism, the nature of color is blocked by rationality and calculation for a long time. Anti-color becomes the hegemony of words. Artists also tend to use dark, monochromatic or even colorless so that the colorful world has been overshadowed by art.
Are Wu Shuang's paintings a liberation of color, or a new gaudy art? Alternatively, is it another poison to turn over the art? When the color spews out like the magma, the border will be broken, the painting and the picture frame will be integrated. It is the overflow of color, and the beauty is like a warrior. The beauty is transformed into irresistible violence. Painting should be like so with no scruples, indulged in sensuality, with wanton arrogance, waved recklessly, follow my heart.

燃烧的激情——吴霜绘画的精神品格

作为绘画风格,具象和抽象这两个概念具有互斥性。也就是说,具象和抽象两种风格是不可兼容的。一幅画的风格要么属于具象,要么属于抽象;不可能既是具象,又是抽象;在绘画中甚至不存在半具象或半抽象之类的风格。依此分类标准,吴霜的早期绘画算是具象风格,近期的绘画属于抽象风格;更准确地说,前者属于具象表现主义绘画,后者算是抽象表现主义绘画。或许,吴霜并不在乎这样的分类,不在乎别人给自己贴什么样的标签。对于吴霜来说,无论使用什么语言,吴霜的创作目的都是抒发内心强烈的激情,也正是抒情作为一条红线将她前后看似完全不同风格的两种绘画连接在一起。实际上,吴霜的早期绘画是将具象的人物、动物或景物安置在抽象的背景中,或者说,她是在抽象的背景上描绘了一些再现性的形象,正是这些抽象的背景消除了这些形象的叙事性,从而使作品具有十足的抒情功效。可以说,她的近期绘画只是将具象因素移出了画面,使得作品呈现出纯粹的抽象面貌。

不管是具象表现主义还是抽象表现主义,表现是二者的共性。在吴霜的绘画中,用于表现的媒介是色彩,可以说,色彩是她的画面上的主人公。与我国很多喜欢泼彩方法的抽象画家不同,尤其有别于大多数仅凭感性和直觉创作的女性艺术家,吴霜同时采用多种技法来创作,显示出对色彩、造型和构图等因素极强的控制力。她主要使用油画和丙烯颜料,作品往往用三次画成,也就是说,画面有三个层次。第一层用泼彩铺底,第二层用半透明颜料全染画面,第三层描绘各种细节和形象。除了使用画笔,她还利用喷壶喷色、木板刮擦和手指涂抹等方法。因此,她的画面看上去厚薄不一,层次丰富,并具有或光滑细腻或粗砺斑驳的肌理。吴霜偏爱红黄蓝绿等明亮色彩,并且多用纯色,即使她也采用少量的黑色,但给人的感觉并不沉重,反而更加衬托出红黄蓝绿的鲜艳。德拉克洛瓦说:“黄色、橙色和红色具有快乐和丰富的含义。”康定斯基告诉我们:“红色包含着生气勃勃和流动的意味,它的内收感强于外倾感,它是一种雄强的力量,它充满了雄性的活力和阳刚之气。浓重而强烈的红色可以助长激情的火焰,它是为一个更狂热的跳跃而预先准备好的退缩,它就像大提琴的乐音一样热烈而深沉,由于它的出现使画面活跃起来,就像小提琴或小铃铛清亮的歌声一样充满了朝气和欢乐。”根据色彩心理学理论,不同的色彩能给人带来不同的心理反应,这正是创作和欣赏表现主义绘画的科学依据。吴霜的绘画主要采用的是能使人产生快乐情感的色彩,她的调色板永远激荡着色彩的欢歌。

吴霜是一个表现快乐的画家。从性格和画风看,与其说吴霜是一个表现主义者,不如说她是一个野兽主义者。我们知道,野兽主义与表现主义是一种风格的两种变体,而前者偏向表达情感的快乐,后者侧重表达心灵的痛苦。野兽主义绘画大师马蒂斯说:“我企望的艺术是一种和谐、纯粹和宁静的艺术,它不含有令人不安或苦恼的题材。对于一个劳神的人,不论是公务员或是作家,它好像是一种抚慰,像一种镇静剂,或者像是一把安乐椅,可以使人消除疲劳。”马蒂斯的艺术主张既缘于拉丁人开朗热情的民族性格,也归因于他乐天知命的个人性格,因此他毕生坚守这一艺术理想,即使在德军入侵,家园沦陷时仍然不改初衷。古龙在《欢乐英雄》中写道:“世人皆以痛楚、孤独、悲伤为大境界,以为这就是深邃的人生,殊不知欢乐才是人生的真谛,一个人获取欢乐的能力才是真正有用的能力。伤春悲秋、离愁别绪太容易了,读几首诗词即可,但获取欢乐太难了,非大丈夫不可为之。”

吴霜的艺术趣味无疑是她乐观开朗的性格的反映。尽管在现实生活中,她也像绝大多数人一样总会遭遇种种烦恼和忧愁,但艺术是现实的补偿,通过绘画吴霜建造了一个寄托自己同时又抚慰众人的精神乐园。人生中痛苦不可避免,快乐需要追寻。如果生活不能给我们快乐,我们可以从艺术中去寻找。吴霜用她充满快乐激情的作品向我们揭示了艺术的真谛。

吴霜,中国当代著名青年女艺术家,80后抽象表现主义代表之一。2007年德国卡塞尔艺术学院自由艺术系留学,2009年毕业于四川美术学院油画系获学士学位,2014年毕业于中央美术学院版画系硕士研究生班,现作为职业艺术家工作生活于中国北京。
Wu Shuang, famous Female Young Artist of contemporary China, born in 1980s, is one of the representative artists of abstract expressionism. In 2007, she studied in Free Art Institution of Kassel University in Germany. In 2009, she graduated from the Department of Oil Painting in Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and acquired the Bachelor Degree. After that she continued her master study of art and graduated in 2014 from Engraving Department of China Central Academy of Fine Arts. Since then she lives and works in Beijing as a professional artist.
曾举办“色舞——吴霜作品展”、“色界—— 吴霜个展”、“无霜—— 吴霜个展”等个人展览。到目前为止,吴霜曾参加过国际国内各大展览多达60余次:“抽象+——抽象绘画在中国的新可能性” 、“十月之实——中国意大利艺术家联展”、“能量——布里斯班国际艺术节”、“春暖花开”、“TA时代——中间地带”“小羊肖恩艺术·羊——跨界艺术大展”、“关键链接——国际当代艺术展”、等展览。今年8月艺术家吴霜在北京锦都艺术中心举办最新的个展,集中呈现她近三年的佳作,为观众带来一场视觉盛宴。其作品被何香凝美术馆、今日美术馆、悦美术馆、原美术馆、北京当代美术馆、时代美术馆等机构以及私人收藏。
Her solo exhibitions include " The Dance of Colors——Wu Shuang solo exhibition ", " World of Colors——Wu Shuang solo exhibition ", " No Frosting——Wu Shuang solo exhibition".
In the meanwhile, her works have been displayed in many internatioanl and national contemporary Art Exhibitions such as" Abstract+/New possibility of Chinese Abstract Art", "Sino-Italian joint exhibition", "Energy:Brisbane Emerging Art Festival 2013","Spring Blossoms", " TA/The Zone In-between ", "Young in China"," Critical Connections:Exhibition of International Contemporary Art "etc. Wu Shuang's most recent individual exhibition will start from August 2018 in Jindu Art Center in Beijing, which will exhibit intensively her works in recent three years and bring visual feast for audiences. Her works have been collected by art collectors and also famous museums such as Hexiangning Art Museum, Today Art Museum, Enjoy-art Museum, Yuan Art Museum, MOCA Beijing Museum, Time Art Museum and so on.
吴霜的作品极具国际化水准,有着一般中国女艺术家不容易具备的深邃广褒的激情,同时在表象看似洒脱大气的表现风格之下隐藏着冷峻的把控和理性的掂量,极具冒险精神。并且凭借其独特的风格,成为了梅赛德斯奔驰中国国际时装周连续三届的合作艺术家。毫无疑问的,吴霜是新生代艺术家中先锋跨界的代表人物。
Wu Shuang 's art works reach the international standards and possess certain deep and vast enthusiasm, which is rare for general Chinese female artists. In the meantime, under the seemly free and open-minded appearance, her works reflects severe and stern control as well as rational weight. It represents her adventurous spirit. Because of her distinct style, she becomes the cooperative artist in the continuous three Mercedes-Benz China International Fashion Week. Undoubtedly, Wu Shuang is a representative and also a pioneer of cross boundary art among the new era artists.
