  • Chandler: Hey, you’ve got to try this cheesecake.
  • Rachel: Oh, y’know, I'm not that much of a sweet tooth.

Chandler puts a forkful of the cheesecake in her mouth.

  • Rachel: Wow. My God, so creamy. Oh my
God, that is the best cheesecake I’ve ever had. Where did you get this?

  • 注意大词 try/get
  • 「have got to」是「have to」的变体, 书面用语中用「have to」, 口语中一般会在「have」和「to」中间加一个「got」//同样用法还出现在:
    • S01E12 Joey:「She's got to (gotta) know that you're everything he's not!」//情境待补
    • S03E11 Ross:「All right, look, look, you've got to do this yourself, OK? In person.」
  • (not) that much of 语气弱 (soft) 一些 (多了些缓和语气的"废话"), 常用在否定句中,「much of」表示很大程度上的/特别怎么样的,「that」修饰 much (合起来就是那么大程度上的) //同样用法还出现在:
    • S01E01 Chandler:「I've got to work. If I don't input those numbers, it doesn't make much of a difference.」
    • S01E23 Lydia:「She's not much of a phone person.」
  • 老外最喜欢用的"废话"有: just, a little, a bit, a little bit, in a way, kinda/kind of, sorta/sort of, I guess, 这些"废话"是用来拉高情商哒!
老外最喜欢用的 4 个过去分词是「have had/eaten」(吃过),「have seen」,「have heard」,「have been」(去过) //其他两处此用法:
    • S01E12 Rachel:「All right, well, you're right, these are the best oatmeal cookies I've ever had.」(提子燕麦饼干)
    • S09E23 Monica:「You're the most incredible woman I've ever met. How can I lose you? (Phoebe looks very flattered)」

  • 「you've」做了弱读处理, 是个很常用的句式, 比如说「I've never done that.」
  • 「not」+「that」+「much」爆破音失去爆破
  • 「much」+「of」+「a」连读成 mucher ofa (连读是读成新单词一样)
  • 「Oh, my God」
  • 「cheesecake」+「I」连读成 cheeseca Kai
  • 「I've」+「ever」连读成 vever
