DL International & TASA Meetup 27th February 2016
Date: 27th February 2016, 2pm to 5:30pm
Location: RapidMiner China offices. 凌空SOHO, Shanghai.

Summary: RapidMiner China volunteered to host and organize the next meeting to give a little time to relax. Following the meeting on 30th January at the office of Baixing.com This time we will want to focus on again on Deep Learning/ Machine Learning approaches that can be used in practice. And also seeing how recent academic approaches to problems.

We'll also present a Deep Learning engine (DL4J) integration into RapidMiner built by (Anson)

2:30pm: Recap of the top voted challenges from previous meeting.
3pm: Paper1 presentation + Q&A

4pm: Introduction to RapidMiner & presentation of DL4J Deep Learning extension by Anson
4:45pm: Paper2 presentation + Q&A
5:30pm: – End / Networking Chat –

We are looking for two people to present papers or work to the group where we’ll then be able to discuss it and how it could be used in different industries.

• Ideally you will be the author of the paper or know it extremely well. Suggested topics are Fraud Detection, Social Media Topic Extraction & Traffic Analysis. I'd like us to get a nice balance between presentation by the academic community with Q&A by those in the industry or with previous experience of applying similar approaches.
• The excellent presentation on PoI indentification by at the 30th January meetup is an example of what I want us to do. Please message me to volunteer.

In addition,we want a 2-3 volunteers with industry in the topic to act as a panel & be lead questioners to the topic presenter. Once we have the initial presenters tied down please volunteer your experience.
