I have a lone summer holiday this summer but I didn't go out traveling because my daughter is to young to bear the lone journey-- she would get car sick.
However, we went to vist some of the relatives.
On July 17, we four--my husband, my son, my daughter and I went to my parents.
When I telephone my mon and told her that we would go to visit her, she was worried that the long journey would be too much for my little daughter.
She advised that we should put off the vist until half a year or a year later when my daughter grows bigger.
Fortunately, the little girl fell asleep soon in the car and she was sleeping during about half of the journey. She seldom cried.
Before we got to my parents', we first went to vist my aunt and her husband because their home was on the way.
My aunt looked thinner than before and she admitted that she had fallen ill several times this year.
When she saw the worry on my face, she smiled and comforted me, "I'm over seventy now and it's common for people of my age to fall ill several times a year. "
I only saw my aunt once or twice a year but I like to chat with her and her husband and I feel intimate with them because they help me a lot when I am young.
I gave them some money before I left their home but later I found they gave more money to my children. I felt shamed decided to gave them more money next time when we visit them.
Next, we went to my youngest sister' home and I took some baby clothes and a pram to her because her baby will be born on August.
When we got to my parents' home, they were very happy to see us, especially my little daughter.
My elder sister was in near village and she went to meet us.
Juan and Mei, my best friends also went to meet me. They brought some gift for my daughter.
I was very happy to learn than Juan's son was admitted to a key high school.
I was very happy to meet my friends and my family. And I was glad that my little daughter was quite happy to play with her cousins-- my younger brother's two sons and they share their toys with May
Xiang, the elder one was happy to gave her a Mickey Mouse toy and he even feed her some food in supper.
I am very happy to see they can get on well with each.
I also visit some old grannies, giving them some fruits and some money.
One of the grannies was very ill in bed and she was as old as lath. She can't speak and could only roll her eyes. She is so pity!
In a word, it was a happy thing to visit my parents and other relatives and I will visit them again in the winter holiday.
