1.smother 使窒息

原文:They are all weeds that will smother what you write.

造句:to be smothered by the heavy smoke

2.insidious 阴险的,潜伏的

原文:Just as insidious are all the word clusters with which we explain how we propose to go about our explaining:"I might add,""It should be pointed out ,""It is interesting to note ."

解释:ADJ, something that is insidious is unpleasant or dangerous and develops gradually without being noticed.

造句:The changes are insidious, and will not produce a noticeable effect for 15 to

20 years.变化是悄然发生的,15到20年间不会产生明显效果。

3.develop the same eye 也有同样的能力

原文: You can develop the same eye.

4.superfluous: not necessory

5.cross them out :划掉

造句:Cross out that last sentence and put this in instead.

Part 2 感悟

好的文章都是一遍遍地斟酌修改,最后才能定稿完成。正如我们的日常工作,也是需要一遍一遍地核对修改后,保证正确性才能算完成!所谓的一气呵成,也应该是在自己的脑海里演练很多遍后写下来的,但是写下来的东西有些细节也还是要再三修改的。

文章在简单明了的基础上,加上适当的个人风格修饰。过多的修饰就是画蛇添足,裹脚布一样又臭又长。
