写文章如果想让所有的人都说好， 我为他写的文章感到悲哀。 做人如果想让所有的人喜爱， 我为他的为人感到悲哀。

意思是，写文章要写对的文章，为人要做正确的事，不是所有人都喜欢的事。

Translation:  'As an author, If you want everyone like what you write, then I will feel regret about his article.

As a human being, if you want everyone like you, then I will feel sad about you.'

Meaning: Writing and doing what is right, not what people like.
