Summary of the Pretest in Bijie, Guizhou

The pretest is separated to 2 period: from 26th, Sept. to 29th, Sept. ; from 9th, Oct. to 16th, Oct.. It is 12 days in total.
The mission is to test 300 selected students in 30 classes at 18 schools, about their memory, focus, receptive and expressive ability, and English level.

BEFORE the test:
Prepare the testing materials; Select the tested students randomly; Forecast and prepare the potential problems.

AT the test:
No matter how fully we prepare for this testing, there are always some problems happening every day here, including:
1.MOE will not accompany us to every school, but arrange teaching management center to follow up.
2.Between MOE and teaching management center, they lack of 100% communication. That means, some schools do not know who we are and what we do.
3.Some school teachers is late when they fetch us from hotel to school,and plus the distance is quite far, leading the testing delayed.
4.Lacking 100% information: the students list we received from MOE is not fit for the actual students, some kindergartens do not have students enrolled.
5.Language barrier: most school teachers speak local dialect, which i need to try hard to understand what they say. And some minor ethnic students speak their own language which cannot understand, if so, we need to change another examinee.
6.There is no spare room for our testing. And testing in the teachers’ office, in some way, influence the results.

AFTER the test:
1.Arrange and pack up the testing materials; count the testing students’ information.
2.Express the thanks for the MOE and teaching management center; maintain the mutual relationship.
3.Summary for the test and prepare better for next testing.
