【看剧学翻译】走下坡路要怎么翻译呢？

今天我们分享的小词组是：go down the drain 。

drain 的意思是下水沟，他的英文释义是这样的：

drain: cause the water or other liquid in (something) to run out, leaving it empty, dry, or drier.

但是要是翻译成「掉进下水沟」，就太诡异了。所以我们可以翻成成「走下坡路」，相当于 fail 或 destroy。
