Listening Skills

Listening radio is a good way of input,it's a nice thing to listen Lucy Liu's english radio,she is an English teacher in university,and the former president of QDTMC,I find I can get better understanding about the content of her radio,because I am familiar with her interviewees,most of them come from Toastmaster clubs.For example,I like the content about education when Lucy interviewed Melody,I like the voice of Richard who winned the first place in Tianjin conference of Toastmaster,I also like Lucy's voice and vocal variety,what gives me nice feeling in the morning.Why does the listening radio be a good way of input?Because it can stimulate your brain and memory,form many memory points,they are independent before,like the subway stations of the 2nd line in Qingdao,gradually,more and more of those memory points connect,one day,they all connect together,you can understand 70%-80% of the meaning of content.What an exciting feeling when you understand what you listen to!So  practice makes perfect.Hope go ahead.

Lucy Liu had also recommended in her own radio program that listening to some TED talks is a good way to practice listening skill.So today,in the morning,I tried to listen to some TED talks.Do you know my feeling after listening？My feeling was like what the attachment picture below described.I didn't know what the speaker talked about except the title.I found there were so much words I didn't know.In fact,I often listen to TED talks video in open courses of 163.com..no,no,no,actually,I often read the Chinese subtitles of TED talks.So today I know well where is my shortness,I should listen to more English material with standard speaking speed.
