【赏析】

All history was a palimpsest, scraped clean and reinscribed exactly as often as was necessary / the substitution of one piece of nonsense for another篡改的历史就是没有历史,历史只不过是用一个谎言代替另外一个谎言。

All one knew was that every quarter astronomical numbers of boots were produced on paper ,while perhaps half the population of Oceania went barefoot .纸上的天文数字,半数人都打赤脚。多么可笑又可悲的数字。

Winston’s greatest pleasure in life was in his work. Most of it was a tedious routine, but …..there were also jobs so difficult and intricate that you could lose yourself in them in the depths of a mathematical problem . Winston把工作成为生活中最大的乐趣,搞起篡改工作乐此不疲,如同解数学题般兴致盎然。原来他还真是挺喜欢这工作的,干这个工作是需要有创造力,从后面他虚构了Ogilvy的故事,替换了Withers的故事这一出,甚至还编出了背机关枪跳出直升机的一幕,镜头感十足,陶醉于自己的创作之中,发现他还是蛮有想象力的!(Comrade Ogilvy, unimagined an hour ago ,was now a fact )
