1. hefty: a. big and heavy  肌肉发达的

                 a hefty amount of something, especially money, is very large.  金钱(大量的,巨额的)

                 a hefty blow, kick etc is done using a lot of force.   用力的重重的

             

2. keep in view: 以。。。为目的

Rely on today and keep in view of the future.

3. confiscate:v.  to officially take private property away from someone, usually as a punishment.

4. fallow:a.  fallow land has been dug or ploughed but nothing has been plant in it, especially so that  its quality or strength has a chance to improve.    休耕的

               a. a fallow period is a time when very little is being achieved.   空档的;无为的

               a. of a light yellowish-brown colour.

               n.  land treated this way

               v.   to leave land unseeded after ploughing and hallowing it.

              

5. infiltration: n. a process in which individuals(or small groups) penetrate an area( especially the military  penetration of enemy positions without detection.

                     the slow passage of a liquid through a filtering medium.

7. reconciliation: a situation in which two people, countries etc become friendly with each other again after quarrelling.                (和解,修好)

                          the proceess of finding a way that two beliefs, facts etc that are opposed to each can both be true or successful.             (两个对立的信念或事实的)相互适应,和谐,一致。

8. drought: a long period of dry weather when there is no enough water for plants and animals to live.

9. hunsbandry: farming

                         careful managment of money and supplies.

10. poultry: birds such as chickens and ducks that are kept in farms in order to produce eggs and meat.

                  meat from birds such as chickens and ducks.

11. consortium: a group of companies or organizations who are working together to do something.

12. erratic:a.  something that is erratic does not follow pattern or plan but happens in a way that is not regular.

13. parboil: to boil something until it partly cooked.

14. propagation: to spread something into a new region.

                           the act of producing offspring or multiplying by such production.

                           the movement of a wave through a medium.
