精读:阅读材料不重要,每个字词完全弄懂。
对自己诚实。
懂一个单词不代表懂几个单词在一起的词组是什么意思(不要想当然按字面意思、认识的意思来以为自己懂了);
如 put in for 是“申请”的意思。
懂一个单词不代表懂这个单词在文本中的含义;如century在文中有表示比赛满分的意思。
判定一个词到底什么意思,要看字典和语法,不过更重要的是上下文逻辑。
例子:don’t let anyone play tricks with you 和 discipline 对应。后文也多次出现了discipline,还有disciplinary,都是一个意思。
今天出现的发音问题:l
读第二段时几个单词(bell, call-over, peacefully, changefull, world, full)出现了错误,被Eric指出来时有点吓到,惊讶他那么快、准确地就能听出我的发音错误,还知道我是没有做到哪个动作。
当时还是没听懂他给我纠正的,后来下午看Rachel’s English讲解“l”的发音有一些了解(自己目前的理解,可能在理解和发音上还要继续完善):
l 有两个音:Light l & Dark l
Light l 一般是l在较前的发音位置时发这个音,舌头会接触抵住上齿龈根部/上颚
Dark l 是在单词末尾有l发音时发这个音,舌头应该不用接触口腔壁,保持较水平的位置,保证音是从下颌角处发出来的。感觉在发音时还是需要将舌头往里卷起来一点。
注意:google中l的发音也是Dark l, 因为单词发音的末尾是/l/,以发音为判断标准,而不是以单词末尾字母是l来判断是否是Dark l 。
很高兴今天还比较顺利地“举手”排到了第二位,读了较短的一段,听第一位同学读时自己还有些紧张,毕竟这是自己三个月以来第一次参加晨读训练营,第一次在一个群体中“亮相”发声。
读完后立即收到Eric老师的反馈,有些懵,只能说“噢!”来回复,其实一点都没反应过来自己哪里有问题,现在想来都不记得自己当时是怎么读的了。总之,还是很幸运在今天就读了一段原文,也知道了自己的一个发音错误,今天背诵、录制了一句原文,感受也不错,听见其他伙伴的声音也是很丰富的,看见大家的留言反馈也觉得很温馨,哈哈,真是个温暖有爱的家庭。自己的朗读在语调上少了感情、抑扬顿挫,很欣赏那种native speaker范,日后再精进发音呀!
