汉译英总复习2017-01-06

1. 注意中文的歧义词，多义词，双关词。

2. 同义词反义词，利用词缀等

3. 抽象性词语、形象性词语及拟声词

4. 数字与量词

A是B的n倍：

1）A is n times that of B;

2）A is n times as Adj. as B;

3）A increases (rises / grows) by (n-1) times over B;

4）A is n times more than B。

也可以用动词 double, twice, twofold, triple, quadruple等表示。

A 增加 n 倍、A比 B 多 n 倍可译成：��1）A is n + 1 times as adj. as B; �� 2）A increases (rises, goes up, grows, be 等) by   n times.

表示百分比减少：表示减少或降低的英语表达法有 reduce by,  fall by (to),  go down by 等。

5. 虚词 （用时态，连词体现）

6. 定语性词组和状语性词组（静句中散动式状语词组表示被动时，可以译成英语“主语+ be +形容词+不定式”句型中的不定式）

7. 习语与谚语

8. 偏句（从句）

9. 主动句与被动句（All the faculty is expected to attend.He is cut out for a sailor. 他被这阵声音吓了一跳。  He started  at the noise.）

10. 肯定句与否定句（我们对起火的原因仍然一无所知。We are still in the dark about the cause of the fire.）

11. 省略句与无主句（聪明一世，糊涂一时。Smart as a rule, but this time a fool.）

12. 汉英翻译中的“时” 与“式”（近朱者赤，近墨者黑。Who keeps company with the wolf will learn to howl. 脚踏两只船，必定落空。If you run after two hares, you will catch neither.可遇而不可求的。Is marriage a lottery ticket?）
